Each of our camp sessions has a unique theme which encompasses projects based on new mediums, artists, and art movements to enrich your kid's creativity.
Ocean Odyssey invites young artists on an exciting journey beneath the waves, where imagination meets the wonders of the sea. Throughout this session, campers will dive into a vibrant underwater world, creating artwork inspired by playful sea creatures, glowing coral reefs, mysterious ocean caves, and more projects inspired by the magic and power of our oceans across the world.
As they explore different art materials and techniques, such as painting with sponges, watercolor, acrylics, and neon oil pastels; creating textured collages with tissue paper, shells, yarn, beads, and sand; sculpting 3D coral reefs with clay and painted pasta; designing glowing underwater lanterns with tissue and lights; drawing and shading with pencils and colored pencils; and constructing imaginative creations using recycled materials, students also discover fun facts about marine ecosystems, ocean conservation, and the incredible diversity of life that calls the ocean home.
This creative session encourages creativity, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for our planet’s oceans.
PROJECT EXAMPLES
Art Adventurers transforms young artists into creative explorers as they travel across continents, ancient worlds, and even outer space through art. Each day, campers will discover how people from different cultures and time periods express creativity, painting cave symbols, exploring global art traditions, and experimenting techniques like Japanese watercolor washes, Aboriginal dot painting, geometric patterns, gelli plate prints, spray paint, collage, and 3D sculpture.
Along the way, students will use materials such as charcoal, pencils, chalk, watercolors, acrylics, clay, paper, yarn, feathers, and mixed media, learning about multicultural art and art history to promote curiosity and imagination.
This immersive experience celebrates art as a powerful language that connects our past, present, and future.
PROJECT EXAMPLES
The Magic of Color invites young artists into a vibrant world where color becomes a powerful form of expression. Throughout this session, campers explore how artists use color to create mood, tell stories, and bring artwork to life.
Through playful, mixed-media projects, such as Kente cloth–inspired pattern designs, rainbow forests, gradient skies, pour paintings with glitter, Holi-inspired color bursts, stained-glass tea light jars, ice-dyed fabric, and chromatography flowers or fireworks, students work with watercolor, acrylics, oil pastels, chalk, alcohol inks, and more.
In the process, they will discover the science and symbolism of color across cultures, building creative confidence as they learn to let color lead their imagination.
