Expressive Arts After School classes hosted at elementary schools are suitable for TK - 5th grade students. Expressive Arts After School classes hosted at middle schools are suitable for 6th - 8th grade students.
No prior art experience is required! Our Expressive Art After School classes are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all skill levels.
Students should, however, be able to complete their projects independently and participate cooperatively in a group classroom environment.
Because our instructors provide guidance to the entire class rather than one-on-one support, students who have a 1:1 aide during the school day must also have a 1:1 aide or guardian present during Expressive Arts After School to ensure they receive the support they need.
At this time, Aya Art Co. does not provide individual aides for participants.
We serve TK through 5th grade students at most elementary schools, and middle school students at select partner sites.
Classes are not separated by grade—instead, our instructors are trained to make each project accessible and engaging for all skill levels. This mixed-grade format encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence-building across ages, similar to other after-school enrichment programs.
Please check your school’s specific registration page for the class location details.
Student Arrival : TK (Transition Kindergarten) and Kindergarten students will be picked up from their classroom by our instructors. All other grade levels are expected to meet our instructors at our art class location on site.
Student Dismissal : Students that attend an on site 6-6 program after Expressive Arts After School will be escorted to their 6-6 program location on site after our Expressive Arts After School class. Students that are picked up by parents after class will be walked to the front gate of the school with our instructors who will wait with all students until they are picked up by a parent or guardian.
Yes, we do host Expressive Arts After School classes on minimum days!
In the instance of a minimum day, our Expressive Arts After School class will start earlier to align with the early dismissal time on the minimum day. Our class schedule can be found on our individual session or session bundle booking pages. Our booking pages always reflect our accurate schedule, which include minimum day class times.
At this time, we do not offer free trial classes for the Expressive Arts After School program. Our sessions are planned as cohesive creative journeys, with limited space available to ensure each child receives individual attention within the group.
Please request a cancellation at least 14 days prior to the start of the session you are registered for in order to qualify for a refund.
Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds within 14 days of the session start date to ensure we meet the minimum registration required to run each class. Thank you for understanding and supporting the consistency of our programs!
